Today morning, His Excellency the Minister of Telecom & Info Technology Eng.Kamal H-Al-Jabri, along with the Governor of Hodeida

Qadhi Ahmed A. Al-Hajri inaugurated a number of telecom projects in Hodeida including GTI's Branch of Hodeida which consisted of CISCO Academy, the training centre, the International Computer Driving License ICDL, 3 stations of Yemen Mobile's Towers in AlQannawes Al tahti & ALDuraihimi Areas, an optical-fibers cabinet of AFC whose capacity reached 120 lines in AlSukhna Area with the implementation of the telephone- fixed network, and 11 new cabinets of primary and secondary ones. All these projects' total cost amounted to YR 685.000.000.
The MTIT's Minister also put the basis stone of many investment projects reaching 7 planned to be implemented during the current year of 2008 in the field of telecoms and they were as follows:
• the foundation & expansion of fixed-telephone network cabinets connected to Hodeida, AL-Tahti, Hais & Bait AlFakeeh Main Switching in a total capacity of secondary 7700 lines and of primary 9700, in addition to the foundation of AFC optical-fiber cabinets beside the telephone fixed network in AlBassat & Uball Areas in a capacity of 720 lines accompanying the implementation of its fixed-telephone network.
• The basis stone of 4 BTS-stations and towers and its accessories of Yemen Mobile in Alkawn, Bait AlFakeek, Al-Thailaeiah Areas and Kamarran Island was also put by the Minister of Telecoms & IT with a total cost reached YR 1.318.200.000
